HYDROCOW Project Showcased on the Global Stage at ISMB-ECCB 2025
Liverpool, UK — July 2025
The HYDROCOW project achieved a major milestone this year as team member Karan Kumar, Ph.D. presented groundbreaking research on pangenomes and autotrophic bacteria at ISMB‑ECCB 2025, one of the world’s premier conferences in bioinformatics and computational biology. Hosted by the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), the event brought together leading researchers from around the globe to share advances shaping the future of computational life sciences.
Dr. Kumar’s presentation, titled "Unravelling the pangenome of autotrophic bacteria: Metabolic commonalities, evolutionary relationships, and industrially relevant traits" highlighted key scientific discoveries that lie at the heart of Project HYDROCOW—an initiative aimed at advancing microbial solutions for future sustainable production systems.
